In this video artistic researcher Elke Van Campenhout deals with the negative definition of 'peace' as the non-war, non-violent, no-strings-attached, non-dictatorial . In addressing the term from both performative, philosophical, political and every-day understandings, she tries to construct a positive content for the term, as a space, an intention, an action, or a possible starting point for thinking. This way re-establishing both the desire and the inherent polemical core of the term.

Van Campenhout is a free lance dramaturg and researcher. previously she worked on artistic research projects in nadine brussels, paf (performing arts forum) reims, TQW (tanzquartierwien),kunstenfestivaldesarts brussels, gasthuis amsterdam and many others.
